Southampon - Mombassa Vision 2020 began in 2011 when Southampton General Hospital was approached to see if it could support the development of ophthalmic services in a part of Mombassa. Specialists from Southampton have visited and the plan is to develop a Southampton - Kenya Eye Link as part of the Vision 2020 Global initiative.
